parent involvement

The Parents’ Council is a volunteer organization sponsoring many annual events such as Fall Open House, Spring Fling, Parent Enrichment Seminars, cultural festivals and community outreach projects. It also coordinates numerous special projects during the year to assist the Preschool staff and administration.

All parents are welcome to join the Parents’ Council and may attend the monthly meetings; dates are posted on the calendar.

Family participation is integral to daily work with the children. Parents are a respected and an essential voice in the child’s experiences and considered to be an essential component of the program. All parents are encouraged to become involved in the Preschool community as time and interest permit.   One parent from each class will serve as a room resource parent to act as a liaison between the teachers of the class and the rest of the parents in organizing class events and other tasks to assist the teachers.
