Learning is not just for children. Peachtree Presbyterian Preschool considers professional development to be a vital and daily aspect of its work and expects its educators and staff to learn continuously. In particular, professional development is at the core of a Reggio inspired program. The entire staff is committed to the Reggio approach and philosophy.

 

Professional development and support is offered to all educators and staff members. Each year the Preschool’s Peachtree Early Childhood Training Institute hosts a fall and a winter conference for early childhood educators throughout the region.  Additionally, the Preschool provides frequent in-house development opportunities and encourages staff to attend local, regional, and national conferences. Teachers also learn “on the job” through mentoring relationships and collaborative teaching opportunities.
